Frequently asked
FAQ
Black Wall OS — Privacy-first operating system with hardened kernel and secure enclaves.
Is Black Wall a Linux distribution?
No. It is an independent capability microkernel with its own driver model and a Wayland-based desktop.
Can I dual boot it?
Yes. The installer writes its own UEFI entry and leaves existing partitions untouched.
Does my hardware work?
Any x86_64 or ARM64 machine with TPM 2.0 and UEFI. Check the hardware matrix on the download page.
Can I run Linux apps?
Yes, through the compatibility sandbox — each translated syscall is still filtered by the capability layer.
